About us

A family-run masonry company in Chicago

Alcantar's Tuckpointing is owner-operated by Jesus A. and Juan A., a family-run crew. Masonry restoration leads the work — bringing brick back to sound, weather-tight condition — and the same crew takes on the rest of the building when a job calls for it, on homes and commercial buildings across the city and suburbs.

Who we are

Owner-operated, on the scaffold

Alcantar's Tuckpointing is a two-owner operation. The same people who price the job are the people grinding out joints and setting brick, which is why the assessment you get is a straight one — there is nobody in between.

The crew works across Chicago and the surrounding suburbs: parapet and chimney rebuilds on city two-flats and greystones, facade and lintel repairs on suburban homes, and long runs of brick on commercial buildings.
